“Peace is not the absence of conflict. It is the presence of justice.”

Peace journalism is a much needed but difficult initiative. There will never be a beat named peace journalism. Conflict sensitive journalism is not peace journalism, since it gives more space to conflict, thus playing in the hands of conflict mongers through instilling more fear among the audience.

Peace is not an incidence. It is a process. All the processes that help support justice in a given society through helping the people in informed decision making are processes of peace. A peace centred journalism is based on these thematic. Stories given in this anthology serve the purpose of social justice, of information that could help the audience in informed decision making, which is the cornerstone of empowerment.
